Finn and I participated in the companion dog test at the HSV Wilferdingen. Not only did we pass it, we even did best which we are very happy about!
We would very much like to thank out trainers and friends Simone and Bernd Edelmann from the HSV Bauschlott and everyone from the HSV Wilferdingen who were involved for the friendly welcome in their club.
Our next goal is VPG 1 / IPO 1

Today we got the analysis from the gene laboratory that Finn is homozygous black!
26th October, 2009
Today Finn was tested for ectopic ureters by an official veterinary-clinic.
Test result: negative! That means Finn is absolutely free from etopic ureters aswell as his mother (Kenia Romani) and all his brothers.
30th August, 2009
At the request of our breeder we registered Finn despite his young age for the selection of the BCD in Schwanau. The nine black males that were listed, were judged by Mme Annik Loew (F). Finn got a V / Ex and consequently reached the finals.
He was not selected, because he is „still too young or rather not quite finished yet“. We are welcome to present him at the next selection. A big thank-you to our demonstrators Anke and Stefan for their great commitment!
28th and 30th July, 2009
Finn got a lady visitor for the first time: the beautiful and lovely Fienzza Quesada du Coeur Poilu. The two of them got along perfectly and are also visually a very harmonious couple.
Now we will all keep our fingers crossed for Finn to become a first-time father at the end of September.

We were at the UEBB clubshow in De Haan, Belgium. Finn got a V / Ex in his strong intermediate class.

Finn received another title: he now also is cfh-club-youth-champion!
3rd May, 2009 – VDH Exibit of the European Champions in Dortmund
Finn participated in the VDH-Europasieger-Ausstellung in Dortmund. Due to the great number of participating Briards, a second judge was hired. Therefore Monsieur Hervé Blasselle (F) was in charge of the males. Finn was stated V 3 / Ex 3 in the intermediate class males noir.
6th April, 2009 – Finn was at the photographer
On 6th April Finn had a fotoshoot with the professional photographer Beate Schwarz who is specialized on animals. We were able to get great shots we would like to show you.
We will release new slideshows in the gallery on a regular base.
21st March, 2009 – Breeding permission of the BCD in Offenburg
Today Finn successfully completed his breeding permission (test on character and standard evaluation) at the Briardclub Deutschland at the age of 20 months. We are very proud of his achievement and results. Further information on profile.

Since today we are also official member in the cfh club for French herding dogs.
Double CACIB in Fribourg (CH) on 21st + 22nd February, 2009
Finn spent a weekend full of snow in Switzerland and participated in two CACIB exhibitions in Fribourg. On the first day he achieved a great V 1 / Ex 1 in the intermediate class males noir, then even got the CAC and therefore was best black male!
The next day, Finn received a SG 1 / VG 1 from the Rumanian judge, because he walked in „obedience mode“.
CACIB in Nürnberg 18th January, 2009
The new is starting good: Successfull first start in the intermediate class males noir. Finn comes in first (V 1 / Ex 1) and gets his first VDH-Champion-Candidature.
In addition he becomes BCD-Youth-Champion due to this victory.
Double exhibition in Kassel
- 6th December 2008 Nationals in Kassel: Finn comes in first with a V 1 / Ex 1 and receives a VDH-Youth-Champion-Candidature
- 7th December, 2008 Internationals in Kassel: Today Finn is second with a V 2 / Ex 2 in the youth-class males noir and a VDH-Youth-Champion-Reserve-Candidature.
Winner on federal level: Exibition in Dortmund on 18th October, 2008
We go to Dortmund. Finn gets a V 1/ Ex 1 in the youth-class males noir, receives a VDH-Youth-Champion-Candidature and is the winner on federal level (youth) 2008. We are so proud!

Last but not least: Also Finn's sister Finja des Travailleurs Barbus gets a V 1 and becomes winner on federal level (youth) 2008.
Evaluation of young dogs in Böhl-Iggelheim
28th September, 2008: We start the evaluation in Böhl-Iggelheim having beautiful weather. It is a nice and successful day: Finn gets 34 out of 35 points in the character test and fantastic 57 points in the standard test!
19th - 21st September, 2008 - Seminar with Stefan Schmidt on tending sheep
Finn learns how to tend sheep. First there is have a morning of theory for us humans. Then Finn and six other Briards are singly and carefully introduced to the sheep. We quickly realize that tending does lie in our dogs' genes.. We all have fun and learn a lot. When we had finished, we knew: we will come back and then attend the course for the advanced.

First Exhibition-weekend
BCD-Club-Exibition on 12th July, 2008 and UEBB on 13th July 2008 in Schwanau-Ottenheim. Finn gets a V / Ex in the youth-class males noir in both exhibitions.
First big holiday
Whitsun 2008: We go in holiday to the south of France with Finn. Here he has a house with a big garden and a pool to guard. Master has lots of time to play every day, just fantastic!
And: Finn sees the ocean for the first time! However he does not quite know what to think of those strange waves...

„Training“ 27th January, 2008
Today the training for the exhibitions at Stefan's Pfotenschule (our breeders husband) at the dog obedience school in Weilerbach. There is a lot to see and learn!
Christmas 2007
With only 4 months, Finn „models“ for the Christmas-cards Petra Jung lovingly arranges on the dog obedience school compound in Gaggenau.
Finn comes to us on 4th September, 2007
We go to Kaiserslautern to bring our Finn home. He overcomes the drive perfectly and immediately explores his new home. His favourite thing to do is to frolic in the garden.
